Your firm

Answer for how things are today. Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent.

Ownership and control

Can you show who owns the firm, with current ownership documents?

Do your documents show who makes the firm's day-to-day decisions?

Do you know what proof of status each programme accepts from the qualifying owners?

Is each qualifying owner's experience in your line of work written down?

Finances and size

Are your recent business tax returns filed and to hand?

Do you have current financial statements?

Do you have your annual revenue for each recent year?

Location and industry codes

Have you identified the industry codes for what you actually sell?

Do you know whether your business address is in a designated economic zone?

Are your state and local business registrations current?

Registration and capture

Do you know which supplier registrations the agencies you want to sell to use, and have you completed them?

Do you have a capability statement written to your industry codes?

Is there a written past performance narrative with project examples?

Do you know which agencies buy what you sell, and who their small business liaison officers are?

Is someone named to answer agency queries while an application is under review?

Answer the questions to see your score. It updates as you go.

Method: yes scores a question in full, partly scores half and no scores nothing. Each question is weighted from one to three by how much of an application depends on it, and the score is the weighted share, as a percentage. Unanswered questions are left out. It measures preparation, not eligibility.

The problem

Some government work is reserved for certified small and disadvantaged businesses, yet many qualifying firms never certify. The applications are long, document-heavy, easy to fail on technicalities, and take months.

Firms that do certify then discover certification alone wins nothing, because they have no capability statement, no registration, no past performance narrative and no idea who to call.

Who it is for

  • Minority, women and veteran-owned firms

Small businesses that qualify for set-aside government work and have never pursued certification.

  • Disadvantaged-owned and economic zone firms

Disadvantaged-owned small businesses, and firms in designated economic zones, who qualify for set-aside work.

  • Certified firms without capture

Firms that have certified but have no capability statement, no registration, no past performance narrative and no idea who to call.

Questions people actually ask

What does the free eligibility report tell me?

Every programme you qualify for at federal, state and local level, the estimated annual set-aside spend in your industry codes, and the specific documentation each application will require.

How long is the questionnaire?

Twenty questions about ownership, control, revenue, location and industry codes.

Do I have to collect the documents myself?

No. Document collection is managed for you, and we handle the responses to agency queries.

What does the certification package cost?

3,900 dollars for a full certification package, filed, with a re-file guarantee if the application is denied on a curable issue.

What happens after certification?

Capture support covers system registrations, a capability statement written to the codes that matter, targeted introductions to small business liaison officers at agencies buying what you sell, and a subcontracting pathway into existing prime contracts.

What does capture support cost?

1,900 dollars a month for six months, including registrations, the capability statement and agency introductions.

Is there an alternative to the retainer?

Yes. Qualified firms can choose a success fee in place of the retainer.

Why should I trust the certification readiness check?

The score comes from your own answers, worked out in your browser. It does not tell you whether you qualify for any programme. The free Certification Eligibility Report does that from twenty questions, with the documents each application will require.
